on Report Card Time - parent tips for positively responding to report card
grades

Children's Theater - for grades 3 - 8, an opportunity for self-expression
and building self-esteem

R.O.C.K(Recreation, Object Lessons, Culture & values, and Knowledge)
After School Program: KPPP (Kids Possess Positive Power) - for middle
school students

Health Fair - offering health screening with health information and educational
displays
- Service
of Remembrance - a Memorial Service for those who have lost a loved one in
the past year
- Mental
Wellness Programs - stress, time management, parenting, grief adjustment,
single parenting and divorce among others
MUTUAL
SUPPORT
- Ladies'
Day Out - a social opportunity for empty nesters,
early retirees, and others to meet on the first Tuesday of each month
ACCESS/SOCIAL
INTERVENTION - Referral
Services - assisting people with information and
referrals for access to local facilities, social security, transportation, housing,
and other needed services
- Specific
Assistance to Individuals - includes short termand/or one-time financial
assistance for medications, rent, utilities, etc. Services provided through
agency referral only.
- Ombudsman
- serving Hancock County residents who are in need of MHAI - ombudsman
service for mental health services
- One
on One Mediation - for adults and children to receive appropriate services
FRIENDLY
VISITING - Volunteer
Contact - volunteers write letters, send cards,
call, or visit their matched "friend" who is institutionalized
- "Healthy
Habits" - a program of social interaction for the chronically mentally
ill under the care and treatment of Gallahue Mental Health Services
HOLIDAY
ASSISTANCE
- Christmas
Gift Lift - provides gifts of necessary clothing
and personal care items to special needs individuals and families who have been
referred by case managers from Ellison House, Gallahue Mental Health Services,
Hancock County Senior Services, Independent Residential Living, Regency Place,
Meals On Wheels, Brandywine Nursing and Rehab, Sugar Creek Convalescent Center,
Snug Harbor, and Pleasant View Lodge. We are in need of volunteers to assist
with the program. Contributions of personal care items, clothing, household items,
etc., and cash donations are now being accepted.
